Steve Wilson is a veteran of the deregulated electricity and fiber optics communications industries. Mr. Wilson is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Texzon Utilities, Ltd. Texzon, founded in 2002, sells and markets commercial electricity in deregulated markets across the U.S. In 2008, Texzon was recognized as one of the fastest growing private companies in the U.S. by Entrepreneur and Inc. magazines. Always a visionary, Mr. Wilson supported early stage development of a scientific breakthrough for wireless electricity transmission.
In his early career Mr. Wilson worked for several companies, including Ericsson, Light-Net, MCI, and Wil-Tel. He rose through the ranks starting out as a fiber optic technician/splicer, engineer, project manager, and eventually as Vice president of engineering, site development, and construction of large Telecom Data Centers nationwide.
Mr. Wilson currently serves on two University Advisory Boards and two Non-Profit Ministry Boards and resides in Ennis, TX. He has been married for 38 years, has three children and two grandchildren.
Tom joined Texzon Utilities in April 2006, after working more than 30 years in commercial banking and mortgage lending. He held the positions of Controller, Vice President, and Banking Office Manager. His responsibilities ranged from accounting to management of all personnel and banking services. He successfully led the transition from one banking organization to another banking organization on three separate occasions due to changes in the banking industry. His banking office received a Certificate of Excellence for customer service and retention during those transitions.
Tom has been active in the community, having served on his church board and several community boards. He served as an officer for the Lions Club, as well as having been a member of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce, United Way and YMCA. Tom also served as Director for Children’s Church, as well as coaching girls’ basketball with the City League and YMCA for several years.
Tom played an important role in helping to register and set up Viziv Technologies, LLC (FKA Texzon Technologies, LLC). He was responsible for accounting services, human resources, and payroll for more than three years after its inception. His current responsibilities with Texzon Utilities include all accounting services, human resources, payroll, state reporting, and special projects.
Tom graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Baylor University.
Tom and his wife, Donna, are blessed with three children and three grandchildren.
Director of Sales and Business Development
Rick joined Texzon in 2015 with over 35 years of experience in business development and marketing ventures, many to the Fortune 500.
He joined his father shortly after college to launch a sales and marketing agency serving big-box mass merchandisers. The agency grew into a multi-million dollar enterprise that included a distribution network to service Wal Mart and their new subsidiary, Sam’s Wholesale Clubs.
Rick spent 13 years in the energy storage industry as a National Sales Manager responsible for all aspects of market assessment, developing competitive marketing programs and development of sales and operations staff. Rick is highly skilled at developing marketing efforts as well as building teams to drive those efforts.
Rick was a scholarship athlete at John Brown University where he majored in Marine Biology. He has served two terms in elected City government roles as well as board positions on numerous Chambers of Commerce. Rick is active in his church, has been married 38 years and has four daughters with sixteen grandchildren.
Director of Marketing
Marc Metteauer has served as Director of Marketing of Texzon since 2013. Mr. Metteauer joined Texzon Utilities in 2011, and has extensive corporate marketing experience with strong creative and brand management skills, including public relations.
Marc began his career in the advertising agency business as Art Director and Creative Director and has produced marketing campaigns for a wide variety of companies including 7-Eleven Corporation, Zurich Insurance, Fidelity Investments, Nation’s Bank, Alliance Data, Fujitsu, Children’s Hospital and others. Marc has also served on corporate management teams of Gordon Jewelry Corporation, BizMart Office Superstores and Erwin Distributing Company as Advertising Director, with responsibilities that include marketing strategy, corporate branding, media production, creative direction and department management.
Marc received a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising from The University of Texas at Austin, with a concentration in creative development.
Marc’s has been instrumental in establishing and maintaining corporate marketing and branding for Texzon, with responsibilities that include online presence, corporate videos, email marketing, social media and public relations. Marc and his wife Lynnae and daughter Bel live in Waxahachie, Tx. Marc enjoys golf, reading, art, Texas Longhorn football and sci-fi movies.
Director of Operations
Stephanie joined the Texzon team in 2003. She immediately took over handling all commissions, both receivable and payable, as well as, the processing of all electricity contracts. She has overseen our sales force, while also handling the majority of Texzon’s daily back office operations. She works directly with our Retail Energy Electric Providers, maintaining our strong relationships with them.
Stephanie has a love for photography and recently retired from a full-time photography business after 8 years of running it on the side. She also enjoys running her t-shirt business outside of Texzon. She has a love for animals and volleyball…both of which she volunteers her time.
Senior Sales Consultant
After graduating from Texas A&M University, Larry taught school in Hutto, Texas for two years. He worked as a sales representative for a tax firm, selling new accounts and maintaining existing customers.
In 1974, Larry began a career with Shell Oil Company. He managed a large location in Austin, Texas, for the next four years. Shell promoted him to Area Sales Rep and moved him to Cincinnati, Ohio, where his team realized greatly increased gasoline, Shell Retail Programs, and Credit.
Larry’s next assignment in 1985 moved him to Cleveland, Ohio, where he was an Area Manager. He developed his sales representatives, selected new Shell sites, Increased gasoline sales, and was a liaison for Shell Dealers and Shell Oil Corporate.
Larry’s final assignment with Shell Oil was in Sacramento, California, as a Regional Manager in Jobber Business. Larry retired from Shell after 25 years of faithful service. Larry joined Texzon Utilities in 2006. He is responsible for maintaining his existing customers and developing new customers. He is a problem solver and has strong relationships with all his customers.
